We can't speak highly enough of Home Farm & Lodge. It's our go to place whenever we're visiting Bawtry. The rooms are just perfect (always spotlessly clean) and the little attention to detail (the bread, jams, fruit, milk, etc, etc) makes it areal home from home. The hosts Kerry and Richard are warm and welcoming.Genuinely nice people who obviously take a real pride in their establishment.Thoroughly recommended 👍

Superb accommodation, extremely well equipped for a 2 night stay.Much thought had been put into breakfast ingredients, many of which were locally sourced.Secure parking on site.Kerry was very welcoming on our arrival.Ideal location when visiting the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Far more preferable to staying in a hotel.

Everything was perfect. Room 4 has a lovely room downstairs with a bath and a bedroom upstairs with lots of room and a comfortable bed. There is a beautiful garden where you can sit with lovely flowers and fruit trees. Breakfast was left in the room - a thoughtful and copious continental breakfast. Kerry could not have been more helpful before and during our stay. A perfect stay! And there is a nice pub next door!

It was very comfortable and clean and we overlooked a garden with table and chairs. We especially liked the independence of preparing our own breakfasts and the food on offer was excellent. Our host went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable.

We recently enjoyed a delightful one-night stay at this charming lodge, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The lodge itself is incredibly cute, exuding a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The highlight for us was definitely the stunning gardens, beautifully maintained with vibrant flowers and greenery. It was such a joy to see the adorable little animals roaming freely around the property, adding to the enchanting ambiance. In the morning, we were grateful for the lovely breakfast provided. It was a perfect start to our day, with a good variety of fresh and tasty options. The only downside of our stay was that it was too short—we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of what this delightful lodge has to offer.Overall, we highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque getaway. We can’t wait to return for a longer visit in the future.

I had the pleasure of staying at Home Farm and Lodge in Austerfield recently. I have lived in Australia for over40 years, but was raised in Austerfield.I always look forward to coming back and have stayed at HFL many times. Kerry and Richard are very welcoming. They go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. This 18th Century Barn conversion is set in beautiful garden, with flowers and bird song in abundance.I use to walked by this Farm as a child. Rooms are private, spacious, and tastefully furnished.A full Continental Breakfast is included in the room rate offering a wide range of choice and quality product.Austerfield is steeped in History. It was establishedCirca the 7th Century and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book, 1086 where it appears as “Oustrefeld”William Bradford was born in Austerfield Manor in 1590, Baptised at St Helena’s Church (dates back to 1080)In 1620 he sailed the Mayflower to the New World as Leader of the Pilgrim Fathers.Austerfield Village is well located for easy access to the South (London) or North (Edinburgh).Staying at Home Farm and Lodge is, to me, like returning home. The Village and surrounds will always be dear to me.If you are thinking of taking a Country break, look no further than HFL.It is an absolute haven and well worth a visit.

My husband and I have just enjoyed our annual trip up north to see my brother and we stay at Home Farm. We cannot fault this beautiful place. Kerry and Richard are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble (Kerry even remembered that I asked for some more tea bags last year, so she had put some extra packets in the room for me).The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and have everything we need.We would thoroughly recommend staying here when visiting this beautiful part of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We look forward to staying here next year (we would visit more frequently if we could!)Thank you once again for a lovely, relaxing stay.Clare and John.

We took three of the lodges to accommodate us while attending a family wedding at Bawtry Hall and we could not have asked for better. The lodges are very comfortable, well equipped and include a really impressive breakfast pack.We loved the eco toiletries and the fact the gardens had won a wildlife award. The gardens are beautiful and allowed us to have a family get together the evening before the wedding away from the noise of the hotel where others were staying. The hosts could not have been more helpful; would thoroughly recommend.

Home Farm & Lodge is everything you could wish for for. It is located in the village of Austerfield and only a few minutes drive from the market town of Bawtry, where you will find a variety of bars and restaurants and shops.Unlike some B&B’s there are six separate apartments each individually furnished and each one with ample parking. Each apartment is self contained with a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster etc all with tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. A light continental breakfast is provided with Ingredients such as cereal, yoghurt, bread, milk, fruit, bottled water etc but if there is something else you require Richard and Kerry are on hand and nothing is too much trouble.Enjoy your stay you will not be disappointed.

From making the booking to our day of departure, Kerry and Richard were the perfect hosts. The surroundings where the lodge is situated is welcoming and close to nature, which is what a relaxing break should be all about. Kerry and Richard care about our planet, which shows in the environmentally friendly products supplied. The room surpassed expectations. It is such a refreshing change to be able to have your own schedule and to come and go as you please.Such a contrast to staying in a hotel or b&b, where you are governed by a breakfast/dinner timetable. Here, you have your continental breakfast at your leisure after you have woken at a time to suit you. You have total flexibility. Everything you need is supplied in the room, which. If you need any further supplies, just ask.We have booked again. Thank you so much Kerry and Richard for providing such wonderful surroundings and a relaxing place to stay. It's the best accommodation we have stayed in, and I can't recommend it enough!

I think this is a 18th century barn conversionDoncaster tourist information centre recommended Home Farm Lodge, a very good choice! From booking in October 2022 until check in day (January 26th 2023) the customer service was excellent from KerryThe Home Farm lodge was warm, cosy, clean and in an ideal locationThe idea of a hand delivered breakfast in the lodge was brilliant, as you could eat at your convenience when you wanted, which made it more relaxing than staying in a typical B&BWe were asked during our stay if there was anything we needed, then to ring themOn checking out Kerry and Richard made a point of having a friendly and social conversation with usWe felt as if we had known them for years, and had many like minded conversations about the things we all love in life before we leftI would highly recommend this lodge, its ideal for a couple who want peace, quiet, privacy and spaceKerry recommended the King William Inn, Scaftworth, we used this for the 60th birthday lunch, you certainly cannot beat this restaurant, it ticked all the boxes which you would expect

We booked a 1 night stay local to Robin Hood Airport as visiting resident Vulcan aircraft. The room was lovely. All our needs were catered for. Continental supplied breakfast. Enviro friendly mindfulness with products. Richard our host was very courteous with a warm welcome. The info pack in the room was useful for local eateries. Highly recommend a stay here in a quiet, clean comfortable place to stay.

We stayed here as a stopover on our way further North, and I have to say it was a great find. The accommodation is in converted barns and we were in room 2, which was upstairs. This was really comfortable with a sitting room one end, alongside an excellent bathroom with large walk in shower, a kitchenette, and a very comfy bedroom at the other end.Our room looked out onto the road from the sitting room but we weren't disturbed by the road, nor by the planes from the nearby airport as the rooms have really thick walls.I never usually sleep very well the first night away anywhere but this bed and the pillows were so comfortable that I slept easily and right through.A continental breakfast was included, which consisted of fruit, yoghurts, cereal, croissants and a whole loaf if we wanted it.There was a fridge in the kitchenette and a toaster and microwave, so it was really convenient.Plenty of tea, coffee and a whole pint of milk as well.We had a little wander around the grounds - love the door on the shed - and had dinner in nearby Bawtry, which is a lovely little town.We were greeted on arrival and had had excellent communication with our hosts.Thoroughly recommend this accommodation, which is only a few miles off the A1 just South of Doncaster.

I was really blown away by this place. Everything in the accommodation was just perfect, lots of little details were thought about which went a long way for me. The bed was extremely comfortable, clean and spotless, the little touches in the kitchen area, even a fresh glass bottle of milk! The living room area was very comfortable and the bathroom was really nice with a high quality shower. The place was just faultless. The owner Kerry even came out to greet me in the pouring rain. Top quality service at an affordable rate. I will definitely be staying again and look forward to my next visit.

Kerry could not do enough for us, and as we were also bringing children in some of the rooms, she helped configure it for us and helped with additional beds and cots, On the Friday night we just wanted to chill in the garden together and she very kindly offered additional chairs and also play things for the children. Kerry and Richard make Home Farm and Lodge a real “home from home” - nothing is too much trouble for them in their dedication to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Beautiful, stylish accommodation with everything you could wish for including smashing breakfast pack and brilliant wi-fi. Equally lovely grounds and gardens with easy parking within a few yards of all rooms ….just a short ride to bustling Bawtry with countless shops, cafes, restaurants, takeaways, bars and pubs and for nature lovers a short stroll to austerfield reclaimed old quarry with its stunning common and woodland walks. As my 5 week stay reflects ….I cannot recommend highly enough 😊

The standard of accomodation was high and the owners friendly. The food and drink were very nice and good quality. I would have liked fresh crossants but the fresh brown loaf was lovely. Eco friendly with a pretty mosaik walk just down the road. Didn't like the Carbon plant nearby and we were situated very near the store cupboard and reception which was a bit noisy in the morning.

My wife and I enjoyed a very tranquil and enjoyable stay at Home Farm and Lodge celebrating our 53rd Wedding Anniversary. We were well met on arrival by our hosts Richard and Kerry Haslam who made us welcome from the start of our 5 day stay. Our room was very spacious, clean and well fitted out with modern fittings and appliances. The fridge was well stocked for our daily continental breakfast and included fresh fruit, juices, milk, butter and bread, croissants, jams, marmalades and a whole host of extras. We did not have to shop for any items, as they were replenished as used.We used this venue to go exploring locally, where we enjoyed a day out at Cannon Hall Farm nearly Barnsley and a fair amount of local site seeing and Walkers garden Centre. We enjoyed good quality meals out at the King William Inn locally and at the Canal Tavern Inn at Thorne about 12 miles away. Richard and Kerry were very helpful when I encountered some IT problems on my computer, so they personally acted as a go between on their office machine which worked out very successfully for me.We also had a beautifully kept and maintained floral garden just outside our front door.In all we had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it to any prospective customers.

On arrival I was a little concerned about the lodge being so close to airport and main road, but it was a lovely quite area and didn’t hear anything at all. I particularly enjoyed the room and excellent continental breakfast that was available in the room which saved so much time going to a dining room or restaurant for breakfast. No evening meal was available however, it was only 20 mins walk to the centre of Bawtry where there was an excellent choice from pub grub to Indian cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed this little gem and will be using Home Farm Lodge the next time I’m in the area ????

The breakfast is continental but plentiful, taken in your room. There are well kept gardens with seating adjacent to the rooms for use of guests. Thank you so much to Kerry and Richard at Home Farm & lodge for having us for our weekend away celebrating our friend. The communication between myself and Kerry was brilliant from the beginning. Everything was clearly explained and Kerry was just a text away. Kerry and Richard were very happy for us to celebrate in a group together and we couldn't thank them enough for being so accommodating. When we arrived, we met Kerry and Richard (and their 3 dogs!) who were both extremely friendly and welcoming! They made us feel at home and nothing was ever too much trouble. They were very relaxed and kindly allowed us to use their lovely garden to celebrate in which worked perfectly for what we had planned! We also met Kerry and Richard's daughter one evening who was just as lovely to chat with :)The continental breakfast was just the right amount with a variety of pastries, cereals, cold drinks and refreshments. All our rooms were spotless and the extra additions of the eco friendly cleaning products and natural bath/shower products was a lovely touch. The outside space was beautiful and so well maintained, with ample room for parking and plenty of seating areas and garden space to relax in. Also a very impressive veg patch! All 10 of us highly recommend Home Farm & Lodge. We are so grateful that we were able to book a 2 night stay for our celebrations, which completely exceeded our expectations. We also had the option for direct payment a few days before our arrival date which was appreciated due to the unpredictability of the current situation. Many thanks again Kerry and Richard! We had the best weekend!

We had a very enjoyable three night stay in room 3 of Home Farm & Lodge. The room was furnished to a very high standard and has the rustic ambience of a holiday cottage. We slept well in the large, comfortable bed and took our breakfasts on the balcony at the top of the exterior stone steps. The information folder has many suggestions of places to eat. We chose the Ship Inn in Bawtry for our first evening, an easy 30 minute walk with pavement all the way, and enjoyed good pub fare in a spacious courtyard. For the other two evenings we ate with family members in the area. Breakfast items and some complimentary food items had been put in the fridge or on the kitchenette worktop before our arrival. We did ask for more teabags and these were readily provided by Kerry, the friendly owner. We would be very happy to stay there again.

A lovely, large, comfortable room with a spacious bathroom, and a warm welcome from the hosts Kerry and Richard. The property was extremely clean. The only downsides were the road noise and the light coming into the room from security lights, hence four stars not five (sorry)

I booked this place to stay over night before the Outlaw X Triathlon. It was perfect. 25 minutes drive from the venue with a kitchenette to prepare your pre race food. Amply parking and quiet for a good nights sleep. Hosts were great!

We were both thrilled with the outside views when we pulled up and the room proved to be beyond expectations. Roomy, comfortable, welcoming and with more facilities we could have hoped for. The standard kettle, tea and coffee but also a microwave and fridge. The bed was comfortable and the seating are a real bonus. We even had a delightful outdoor balcony. The bathroom was really lovely and the shower first-class. I could have stayed in it all day. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it including a full loaf of bread which meant we could have an evening snack as well. Kerry was a wonderful host and so easy to talk too and although we only met Richard when we were checking out he was lovely as well. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble to them. The information booklet contained in the room was excellent as well. Definitely one of the best places we've stayed in and we're looking forward to returning very soon indeed.

Perfectly clean and maintained accommodation with beautiful gardens and seating we just didn’t want to leave. The breakfast was more than ample with fresh bread, milk, fruit, yoghurt and more. WIFI was strong and fast. The room was very nicely done and had a comfy bed, kitchenette, seating and plenty of clothes storage along with a folder containing all the information you needed from taxis and takeaways to what’s on in the area. The bathroom again was spot on with unlimited hot water and a good powerful shower. They just have got everything right from tissues and the toffee chocolate eclairs left in the room to providing scissors, good thick towels and lighting to suit any requirements. Richard and Kerry were lovely and literally would have done anything for you with great communications even a text if you need anything. We will definitely be going there again but hopefully for longer

Traveling during a pandemic was unnerving, but with contactless check in and extremely diligent capacity and hygiene plans, Home Farm & Lodge put us entirely at ease. The property was spotlessly clean, and with direct outside access, we didn't need to feel nervous about hallways or shared surfaces. The room itself was spacious and comfortable with excellent amenities - we had an amazing night's sleep in the enormous bed!We loved wandering around the quiet garden, observing the sunflowers and tomatoes growing. The continental breakfast ready in the room in advance was a treat for a pair of weary travellers, we also were so impressed with the owner's efforts to go above and beyond and tailor a vegan friendly version for us.All and all, so happy with our choice to stay at Home Farm & Lodge and would recommend to anyone looking for a stay in the vicinity.

Home Farm & Lodge is a very nice place to stay, It is situated in Austerfiedl and about a 20min walk into Bawtry, the grounds are immaculate with lots of secluded seating areas, the rooms are a nice size and has everything you need, the beds are comfortable and the continental breakfast is more than enough, already in your room when you arrive.I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone, we are definitely going to be staying again.

Kerry and Richard warmly welcomed us on our arrival. maintaining safe distancing at all times, in these difficult times. The Cleanliness of our room was impeccable, I have certainly stayed in 5* hotels that did not meet this standard. We will without fail return if we have the opportunity, and wish Kerry and Richard every success for the future.

We have been shielding and super careful about our health. We haven't been to a shop or supermarket since before lock down.We were really nervous about going away but having spoken to Richard we were completely satisfied by the measures that the team at Home Farm have taken to be super careful about hand-over and cleaning. They leave at least 24 hours before they clean the room and then hand it over to a guest. They wear PPE and deep clean each room including the use of a "vaporiser" (my word for the machine) to disinfect soft furnishings and on top of that couldn't do enough to make sure we had an enjoyable stay.Plenty of breakfast items and replenished at will.Plus a beautiful garden to sit in (seating and space to be socially isolated).Loads of private parking and everything that you need for it to be a home from home....From one that is not easily impressed, I was impressed.Well done to the team and thank you.

I booked the small room as a last minute break for me and my wife. We dont like the formalness of hotels so when I saw the little apartments it instantly appealed. On arrival we had a friendly greeting and check in was quick. The owners had also upgraded us to a bigger room as they had one uncooked, thus was complimentary and we thought a lovely gesture. As it was valentines they had also left a bottle of fizz and some chocolates for us, again a really lovely touch. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and well equipped with a DVD TV, great internet and a little kitchen with a good sized fridge, a microwave and a toaster. It was also really big so you had a bedroom area and a very separate sofa and daytime chill out area. You get a nice continental breakfast left for you and they top it up each day as needed. We personally loved we didn't have to go 'out' for breakfast or food, we lived off the breakfast and some food we took ourselves and a delivered pizza of course. Location wise, we choose it as wasn't too far from home and was close to Sheffield if we fancied shopping or close the Sherwood forest if we fancied walking. Overall fantastic, 5 stars and would defo recommend. Thanks for a great stay!

We would normally stay in hotels and not a guest house but from the start of the booking process through to our leaving our stay was made exceptional by the owners Kerry and Richard. The bedroom was very clean, well apportioned and fitted out with high quality furniture. The continental breakfast items provided were more than adequate and every thing was very fresh. Initially we thought having to do your own breakfast would be detrimental but actually we really enjoyed it. The shower was spot on although I did get a little concerned that the water level seemed to get a little high when using it. Cannot think of a bad thing to say about the stay we would book the lodge again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone and is certainly better than the local hotels which we have also stayed at. We stayed on Valentine’s Day night to our surprise a free bottle of Prosecco was in the room with chocolates very unexpected but very appreciated. Great value for money. in the summer the gardens would beexcellent but when we stayed the weather was rather inclement but it was obvious that the high standards that were apparent in the rooms also applied to the outside areas. The owners deserve all the success they get and worth the 5 star rating given.

Following a search on the internetwe found this beautiful setting at Home Farm Lodge. The communication from the start was perfect with all details provided & confirmed promptly. Kerry & Richard keep a loverly place with a warm welcome. Flexibility on arrival was no problem. The room we stayed in wasbeautiful in all aspects. There was plenty of milk and continental breakfast left in the fridge which suited us perfectly. We were out to a charity ball however there was a loverly looking pub next door which I am sure we will try next time. The little touches like a little bowl of chocolate eclair sweets are just nice and thoughtful.(as it happens my favourite)The en-suite shower was all beautiful, a nice sofa to relax and plenty of room all around with really good WiFias signal in that area can be tricky. We were oils highly recommend Home Farm Lodge and look forward to staying with Kerry & Richard again in the future. Many thanks

It was a real joy to realise Home Farm & Lodge was where we would be staying the night, after a long tiring road journey. Our Lodge, number 5, was a delight to walk into: tastefully appointed, and instantly welcoming. Home Farm is effectively an estate of a small number of Lodges with more rooms in the main building. Owners Kerry and Richard are lovely approachable people who manage the business with a smiling friendliness. The off-road car park is in a welcoming garden area.We would not hesitate to choose Home Farm again. An added bonus is the Mayflower Bar & Eaterie next door, where we enjoyed an excellent evening meal.

Lovely room. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful gardens to sit in. Conveniently placed for the pub next door. Very pleasant owner. My only criticism is that breakfast is a bit disappointing. I don't mind that we have to prepare our own but it's not of the standard you expect from this type of accommodation. Selection box cereals and pre-wrapped soggy croissant just don't cut it. We stayed somewhere recently where a hamper containing fresh croissant, granola ang rhubarb yoghurt, sourdough bread and eggs were left outside our door. No difference in price and a real treat. We eat it outside and it was perfect. Just a though!

After a busy day of travelling around the region on business, Home Farm is the perfect oasis to retreat to and pause for breath. It's tasteful outbuilding conversions and beautiful, tranquil gardens are just what is needed to unwind and recharge your body's batteries !

Stayed for 3 night whilst working nearby. Everything in the room is just perfect. Impeccably clean en-suite and kitchen areas, comfortable bed, tastefully refurbished and decorated by the owners and the attention to even the smallest details is evident. Even the gardens and grounds available to residents are immaculate....and the price is right too ! Genuinely faultless.

The accommodation was very comfortable and comprised a kind of 18th century, self-contained, studio maisonette. Separate seating area with the TV; small kitchen area with sink, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle; modern shower room. Mark was very welcoming on arrival. Found a decent restaurant in Bawtry or you could self-cater. An all-round good find and informal alternative to a hotel chain.

Home Farm and Lodge was a super stay - we booked two rooms as two travelleing colleagues. Rooms were well appointed and had fantastic bathrooms! Lovely deep baths. Television was working and received good signal and lots of channels. Breakfast provided had a good range and the room was also equipped with a fridge, which allowed me to store my own food.I would recommend to anyone and will certainly book again for our return trip!

Can't recommend enough. Friendly welcome from Mark & Jane. Room was a good size, clean and well furnished. Brilliant "Kitchenette" area with toaster, microwave, sink, fridge, Kettle, cutlery, dishes etc. Was easy to make a microwave dinner in the evening which saved having to go out. There is a pub / restaurant literally next door though if you wanted to go out. Plenty of easy parking. Free Wi-Fi for each room and good fast connection. Was great to have a 2 seater settee for watching TV. Bathroom was very clean and modern. Will certainly stay again next time I am in the area.I guarantee you won't be disappointed when you stay here.

Excellent one night stay at Home Farm when I needed to travel to nearby Bawtry on business. It is a lovely collection of converted barns and farm buildings set in superbly kept gardens. I stayed in number 5 but had a tour of the other buildings; all ofwhich are a credit to the hard work of Mark and Jane, the owners. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay with a continental breakfast included as well as few extras including a penguin biscuit! Mark and Jayne are naturally friendly and very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble and I would not hesitate to stay here again whilst in the area or recommend to others. Keep up the good work!

We were delighted with our rooms - the space, comfort and cleanliness - and also the peace and quiet of the locality.Home Farm manages to balance a pretty country location with easy access to major road networks and local amenities. We were given a warm welcome and everything we could have needed was provided in our rooms. This type of accommodation offers so much flexibility when it comes to dining options and with no fixed schedule (you don't have fixed times for breakfast, for example) you are free to arrange your day exactly as you please. We will be back in the area in the Spring and we were very tempted to book rooms before we had left.(Only the need to be sure of dates made us hesitate, but we will be rebooking soon.)A pub / restaurant serving good food is right next door to the accommodation so eating out could not be easier. We were pleased to note, though, that there was no noise disturbance from the pub despite the very close proximity.

Lovely room, spotlessly clean and very comfortable with lots of nice little touches that made it better than the average B&B. The small kitchenette with sink, microwave and fridge was great and we enjoyed the continental breakfast in our room at a time to suit us.Everything to add to a comfortable stay was thought of from the sofa to watch TV, the DVD player complete with a selection of DVDs, the complimentary bowl of fresh fruit and chocolates (refilled every day) and even a selection of menus for the local restaurants and takeaways with local taxi numbers.Quiet peaceful location, but close to Doncaster, airport and Bawtry.Jane and Mark were great hosts, friendly and very helpful. We would definately stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Home Farm. Rooms were clean and well furnished and the owners were delightful.Only negatives were that the location was directly across the road from a huge industrial factory and there was a distinct smell of carbon in the air depending on which way the wind blew. Also, the owners should make it clear that the breakfast is a continental one provided in your room.

Mark and Jane couldn't do enough for us. The room was spotless and perfect in every way. They showed us to our rooms and even showed us a 4 bedroom property that would've been suitable, if not booked already, but would've been great for if we decided to stay again. We are our continental breakfast in the beautiful garden and felt so relaxed. We had the best sleep because the area was so quiet, but very close to the bustling town of Bawtry. A perfect place to stay, clean, friendly and welcoming.

We really enjoyed our short stay. The room was more like a suite and was well equipped. It was also very conveniently situated next to a pub, and close to Bawtry, where more dining options are available. The in-room DIY breakfast suited us fine on this occasion, thoughon other occasions a full English might be good! We would certainly look to stay there again.

I wouldn't normally give a 5-star rating but the level of attention given to the room and property in general I found to be second to none; the room was spotless, the people who run the place clearly care about their guests and the service they provide. If I had to make any criticisms it might perhaps be the quality of the croissant that was left, but that’s just about it.Yes, there is a rather large industrial-type premises on the opposite side of the road but only really did I notice it when I left the property for an evening stroll, as it’s screened by trees and set back from the road; it certainly had no impact on my stay. The view out the back into the courtyard and garden-space is pleasantly relaxing.I would thoroughly recommend a stay here, and will definitely stay again if in the area.I didn’t get the chance to visit the gastro-pub just down the road which was perhaps a regret.

The owner, Mark, came out tp greet me and show me to the room and take me to the accommodation. The room was immaculately clean and fresh. There was everything I could need for my stay and the attention to detail was evident. The information folder was informative and comprehensive listing probably every type of restaurant in nearby Bawtry. Mind you there was a very goodgood pub/ bistro just next door. I was there for 3 x nights and never had a problem.I am loath to leave a complimentary review as I do not want it to be fully booked when I am next in the area but I wish Mark and June continued success for their business.

When we booked the accomodation we expected a regular hotel room setup, but we were pleasantly surprised with facilities on offer. The room had a 2 seater leather recliner sofa, a large flat screen TV, and a small kitchen area. After a busy day out, it was good to relax in a lounge type environment, so often you have sit on a bed and watch a TV half way up the wall. The property was immaculately presented and the garden areas were stunning. The inroom breakfast was a lovely touch and enables occupants to enjoy a leisurely breakfast at their own pace. Having family in the surrounding area we fully expect to be regular visitors, and would have no hesitation in recommending to friends.

This was our first stay at this establishment , first impressions on arrival was excellent easy to find with extra instructions sent by owners Mark and Jane .On arrival Mark greeted us , he asked us how our journey had been ( but likely wished he hadn't ! ) we had travelled to visit The Vulcan exhibition VIP booked tour ) and had been Horrendouslydelayed sadly due to RTA's on the M5 and M5 we subsequently missed the tour . Our intention was to try and get on the next days tour but not hopeful as they appeared fully booked online .30 minutes later Mark knocked on our door to tell us that he had spoken with his friend Steve who works on the Vulcan. Project as part of the engineering team and he had arranged with his boss that ( on his morning off ) he would personally take us on the tour ..wow !Apart from the helpfulness and kindness above , Mark and Janes establishment is absolutely superb ,beautifully renovated to a vey high standard , excellent attention to detail to enhance your stay .... The mattress on our bed was clearly of very high standard and was so comfortable.Beautifully maintained gardens for use of guests and seating areas which he we did use .We stayed in room 4 ( suite) very large rooms with everything you need to make your stay.We visited the Pub/ eatery next door The Mayflower , excellent food at reasonable prices .Apart from the wonderful support and kindness shown to us in helping with this dilemma we can honestly say that we would highly recommend Home Farm &Lodgeand will definitely be visiting again .Mark and Jane you should be very proud of your beautiful establishment and the excellentservice you provide which isover and above what's required .. Thank you again ... Kind Regards Steve and Sue x

As a business traveller, Home Farm & Lodge is the perfect place to be before the rigours of a working day. The rooms are extremely comfortable, very well equipped and superbly maintained. The availability of breakfast in your room means that you can depart when it is convenient for you. In addition, the kitchen(ette) allows for the bringing in of a takeaway meal in the evening if you so wish. I look forward to further business appointments in this area of North Notts/South Yorks. Overall, absolutely brilliant!!

Whether you are travelling on business or for pleasure this is a great place to stay. It is just a few miles from the M18 and about seven or eight miles form Doncaster. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The price for the night was very reasonable - about half the price of a comparable hotel room. There was a small kitchen area in my room for making my own breakfast. A single female traveller who did not want to go out could eat in the room if they wanted to. There is, however, the Mayflower inn next door which does good food - not the cheapestbut stll good value for money.

We have booked again and will be asking some more friends if they would like to join us when we tell them about the place & weekend we have just had. The pub next door is very nice although we didn't have food, we ate in the Ship Inn on the Saturday and we went back for Sunday lunch, it is about half an hour's walk into Bwtry itself and you can book taxi's which cost about £5. Can't wait to return for another relaxing break.

I was genuinely taken aback by this beautifully presented room. The attention to detail was extraordinary and the facilities were all of a very high standard from the en-suite shower, wide screen TV, Leather sofa, Oak table, large bed, the list is endless. The fridge was stocked with plenty of fresh produce and equipment to warm food, toast and make ample cups of tea and coffee. With WiFi access, I could quite easily use this room to work comfortably whilst on business trips. I was greeted by Mark immediately as I arrived into the site carpark who was very welcoming and explained all the facilities in my room and once again onmy departure. There is a lovely country pub next door but no noise can be heard and no disruptions from customers coming or going. I will definitely be using Home Farm & lodge again at any opportunity whether for business or pleasure and I have no hesitation to give this a 10/10 rating. Superb experience.

The place is amazing. We stayed in Room 4 of which was very large and extremly clean. Couldnt fault anything. Even down to the smallest of details with every room having you own secure wifi password. Mark was there to show us our room. Of which he gave us spme local informstion and also a visitors pack full of restaurants and take aways in Bawtry. There is also the village pub literally next door, where they serve fine ales and marvelous food. Not just your ordinary pub grub. We shall be back and will look forward to every bit of our next stay.

The smallest touches are the ones that show thought has gone into how comfortable you would like your guests to feel. Absolutely lovely. Mark the owner has put so much into this its obviously his pride and joy. We had a lovely time and were looked after very well. Would recommend 100% to everone. Its lovely.. Its not overpriced and most of all its run by people that care.. Perfect

A lovely location, quiet and peaceful, there's an upmarket pub/restaurant round the corner. Not great for public transport but a taxi to the next town is £6. The owners were welcoming, warm, offered to run me out for the evening and gave me a lift to my course the next day when the local cabbie cancelled. A well stocked fridge, breakfast items, toiletries, fridge, toaster, microwave etc. A garden area outside the room to sit and watch the birds. It only cost the same as a chain hotel but was a rural heaven!

We stayed at Home Farm Lodge for one night, it was absolutely perfect. The room was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We particularly liked the seating area and small kitchen unit(stocked with a good range of food for snacks and breakfast). These touches made it feel like a home from home and meant we were able to get up and have breakfast when it suited us!The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the near future and have already recommended it to friends and family.

Superior double ensuite room, very spacious and well equipped. Helpful but not intrusive owner. Lovely garden with outdoor seating area. Continental style breakfast is do-it-yourself in the room, all items provided, which inevitably means film-wrapped pain au chocolat, for example, rather than bakery fresh, though there was fresh milk in the fridge, some fresh fruit, yoghurt, orange juice. We didn't use the microwave, but it would have been possible to heat a ready meal easily enough. If you are not after a full english breakfast, this is an ideal place to stay, with plenty of both privacy and comfort.

We turned up to Home Farm & Lodge having driven over from Scarborough ahead of a wedding in Bawtry to be blown away. The welcome we got was great and both Jane and Mark were fantastic during our 2 night stay. We were really amazed by the level of useful information and facilities. We felt like the room was it's own suite and the fact we could have a takeaway in the room was a great touch (although we went out instead).Even better was the nice warm room along with a "den" to sit and watch TV. Super fast internet for doing a bit of online searching and messaging. The best touch was the friendly service and being treated just like a friend or neighbour. In particular, I was given a lift into Bawtry to save me walking into town (although only 20 mins, in a suit it would have been uncomfortable.I would highly recommend staying here for any reason as the lodge is comfortable and very reasonably priced for the amount of facilities and flexibility. Thanks once again for making our stay very memorable

Really enjoyed our two night stay at Home Farm & Lodge. Our hosts Mark and Jane were most attentive and helpful as well as welcoming. We stayed in the suite room which is excellent; it is well equipped, spacious, and standard/quality of the decor and furniture is outstanding.Continental breakfast with bread, jam & marmalade, fresh milk, cereals and a toaster and microwave oven to make things with meant we totally self contained. We would highly recommend this B&B for a stay in South Yorkshire,we will certainly visit again.

Had a wonderful stay at Home Farm this weekend when overnighting for a local party. The room was spotless, large and tastefully decorated with heavy quality oak furniture and a large leather sofa, bathroom was spacious with a lovely power shower. Hosts were very welcoming despite arriving 5 hours after I had said I would. Lots of nice little touches, bowl of sweets, local magazines, proper milk in the fridge, quality towels. Off street parking with CCTV a bonus, offered free run of the gardens and grounds; all in all a bargain at £45, half the pice of the posh pub next door but with twice the authentic charm. Only minor issue was no animals which may limit clientele a bit in a country setting but I was able to make other arrangements for my dog this trip. Would recommend!
